Wih the missus having a good day, took the decision to go to Carrie's signing at HMV Oxford Street after work tonight. Too good an opportunity to meet a massive music star from the USA.

Joined the queue at 5.25pm for a 7pm signing, and there was already a good 250 or so in front of me. Apart from a few people who had been at the start of the queue who got some extras, it was a straight forward one copy of current cd only for signing, and security was pretty strict on that by my turn. Carrie was having a posed photo with everyone, and I mean everyone, so there was little time for extras to be signed. There were hundreds behind me as well. She was very sweet to meet, and it was nice to see her want to have a pic with everyone as opposed to hurrying everyone through like a machine with their sig only.

Security was fine Matt. They had a big crowd to deal with, and a signer who enjoyed having her picture taken with everyone. I think they handled the event very well. At no point did I feel rushed despite the limitations they obviously had to put in place to ensure everyone got an autograph and picture.

Nice IP.  I saw her perform on American Idol a few weeks ago, I liked the song she performed.  Is the album any good?
