I sent two cards to Bill McNeill on the 27th of April I got both cards back signed today .

Billy McNeill signed for Celtic in August 1957 he made his debut at home t Clyde one year later . He went on to play a total of 789 games and he scored 37 goals . Billy won 9 Scottish First Division Championship winners medals 7 Scottish Cup winners medals and 6 League Cup winners medals he was the first British team captain to lift the European Cup when Celtic won it in 1967 .he left Celtic in 1975 .

Billy returned to Celtic Park as manager in 1978 when he took over from Jock Stein he left in 1983 he returned in 1887 for a second stint and stayed untill 1991 . In his times as manager he won 5 League Championships 3 Scottish Cups and 1 League Cup .

In 2009 Billy McNeill was named as Celtic's club ambassador . .

Billy McNeill a great servant to Celtic Football Club and a true Celtic legend .
