An unexpected known failure

The title sounds like a contradiction, but is a factual description.

Three years ago I wrote to Peter Gilmore with two of my 4x6 photos. In Feb this year Peter sadly passed away, so it was obvious my request was a failure. The agency must have been tidying up as today I received my unsigned pics back in my reply envelope which was unexpected.
