Spent an hour and a half freezing my nads off outside Sixfields on Saturday night to get these two. The club had arranged a 'Closed Door' re-union so it was a matter of waiting outside and hoping the players whos signatures I wanted turned up.
Luckily John Hold and Tony Buck turned up eventually. I have been trying to track them down for years so it was great that they finally came to me. 😄 In fact after chatting with Tony Buck I found out he had actually been living in Northampton for the last 33 years, I must have tried to track him down everywhere but Northampton.
It was also great chatting to the ex-players as they came in though it was sad to see how many of them seemed to have chronic knee problems.
I'm off to the Memorabilia show on Sunday so if Pat Crerand is there he will be number 220. Can't wait.

At the recent Darren Anderton signing I met a chap who has been collecting Spurs sigs in person since the 1960s, and he had about 165 sigs in his book, so I can really appreciate the dedication in getting this many signatures in your treasure of a book after seeing how long it took him. Brilliant result for you - really pleased for you.

Thank you all for your replies.
#14 Nigel, thank you very much for that reply, it is really motivating. I hope to have 224 by christmas if things go as I hope. I have to remember though that I need to concentrate on the older players. I don't mean this to sound wrong but I think around 55 of the players have now sadly passed away which is understandable as I have one signature from the 20's, 7 from the 30's, 25 from the forties and 36 from the 50's.
As I have said before though, this forum has given me a new lease of life in the quest to get as many signatures as possible and I thank you all for that.
