I received my book back unsigned today from Preston North End, Not bothered one bit about about the failure I just hope Sir Tom Finney gets well very soon. Thank you Preston for returning the book. Please could other members who were planning to send anything to Sir Tom have second thoughts.
Cheers Alex

..it's such a shame when ill health stops them sending requests back to fans when they usually reply..
It does sound as though it's only failing health thats prevented him doing so...hopefully he will love having your letter read by his son so he'll know his fans are thinking of him...
Mr Rooney could do with a foot up his backside..

NICE OF PRESTON TO SEND YOUR BOOK BACK AND A NICE LETTER EXPLAINING THE SITUATION.
I HOPE THE LEGEND SIR TOM GETS BACK TO FULL HEALTH AND I DO AGREE WITH YOUR REQUEST ALEX AND HOPE NO ONE SENDS TO HIM TO ALLOW HIM TO RECOVER.

What a shame to hear that he is unwell. I spent a few years teaching at Preston Colllege, and Sir Tom is respected and well loved throughout the town. I'm sure that we all wish him well.
