Hello,

From November 2014, buyers in USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Brazil & Russia will be able to shop with confidence from UK sellers using the Global Shipping Programme. Buyers in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Sweden have been using the Global Shipping Programme to buy from UK sellers since September 2014, and can continue to do so.

The Global Shipping Programme is an easy way for business and private sellers to reach millions more buyers with minimal changes to your current processes. This programme is designed for sellers who don’t currently offer international postage on listings. The Global Shipping Programme works by automatically showing international postage costs on your eligible listings to prospective buyers in other countries at no additional cost to you. Here’s how it works:

  • International postage and any applicable customs charges are automatically shown on your listings and paid in advance by your buyer. You only pay for postage costs to the UK Shipping Centre, where your parcel will be processed for international delivery.
  • When one of your items sells, you simply post it to the UK Shipping Centre using your usual postage service. The address is automatically provided as the ‘Post-to’ address for the order. The address includes a unique identifier code. This is so the UK Shipping Centre can identify your item - always include this code
    on your label.
  • Once your item arrives at the UK Shipping Centre, the item is sent to your buyer via a fully-tracked international postage service.
  • You can opt out of the programme at a listing, country or account level at any time.

As a seller, you’re protected in several ways when you use the Global Shipping Programme:

  • Automatic 5-star rating for postage and packaging charges when you provide free domestic postage to the UK Shipping Centre.
  • Automatic 5-star ratings for postage time if you meet certain conditions .
  • You’re protected from negative or neutral Feedback and ratings lower than 5 stars due to loss or damage to your item in international transit, or delayed delivery.
  • You won’t be responsible for loss or damage by third-party carriers once your item is in international transit.
