(I case anyone seeing this has not come across them before, these are the grubs of the Vine Weevils - I'm currently finding loads of these in all my strawberry & raspberry pots. They are curled up in a C shape when you first uncover them & they eat the roots

(Glad you've had a lovely day - wish the same for Danlyncand. I had some sun this morning, but it's raining now which is good as it saves me watering later. Grubs are very small - the pic has a drinking straw in it - not that I was trying to suck them up or anything 😋🤪 I've read that if you stand the pot in another bigger pot for 12+ hours you can drown them, but I don't have anything to do this with unless I get a sudden brainwave (oh, like a bath, hmmm might be a bit messy
). The other is Nematodes but it sounds like you add them in August/sept)
