Sparkle-dust,
I so know what you mean! They call it 'image therapy',
and even though it says its not compulsary on their website, there doesn't seem to be any way to get out of it!
I used to be mortified, and it felt SO patronising!!!
Being clapped because you had gained 1/2 lb, because you had eaten the kiddies easter eggs! What is that all about.
Well at least you came, is what they said, but really i think you need a bit of a pep talk if things are getting that bad, not a round of applause.
And also having to talk to the whole class in turns, about your tips etc, was a bit too much pressure for me.
I'm not slagging off the diet, because i liked it and was never hungry on it. Just HATED the classes with a passion.
AND the high carbs on the green days used to send my blood sugar soaring.
I did really well doing 'Scottish Slimmers'(called weight management in england i think) a few years ago, got to my target of 8 stone 10. I'm sure my success was because the Class leader was fantastic (she won a national award) She was really firm, but really motivating too.
I didn't dare veer off course, because she would give you a 'look' if you stayed the same or gained. But if you did well, she made you feel on top of the world!
Am seriously considering joining WW, i know theres a class near me. Just need to take the plunge.
