How she returned to her "home" is a very sore point for me. 😮 :_|

I have a few more pix of those weeks she wholly voluntarily (what else would a cat do?) honoured me with her company. Then her "owners" turned up. 😞

I took that pix on my phone-cam, held at arms length in my right hand.

I called her "Misty".

She was maintaining full eye contact with me whilst I was fussing her and taking the pix.

The yellow thing in the background was an upturned bucket on which we were both trying to keep warm from the 500w Halogen electric fire perched on it, with the little bit of red thing visible being a folded bit of unopened junk mail I used to over-ride the safety device in the bottom of the heater as the bottom of the bucket was not flat.

That was my primary and (apart from my electric blankie) sole personal heating source over the last winter.

Apart from the warmth of "Misty's" company :-x

... and I have a bit of a beer gut but not as bad as that photo suggests.. NOT claiming the sympathy vote but I was wearing 5/6 layers of clothing at the time.

Also I was seated "laid back" to let her lie flat on my stomach whilst I fussed her...

She appreciated I was wearing my favourite white woolly sweater just for her...
