This is a bit esoteric, and probably not going to get replies ... I'm looking for soft synth plugins for the sales (which seem to have already begun since around 22 Dec). I feel that prices in the "littler" months like April, October, can often be as good / better.
It needn't be soft synths. You could also recommend FX plugins, audio mastering plugins etc. Maybe even whole DAWs (but for me it's hard to recommend one DAW, l'm just not so far into any DAW that l can distinguish its capabilities from another, l can only distinguish the GUI aesthetics).
Soft Synths I'm considering (update = point to point within one version, upgrade = one version to a higher version):
- Omnisphere 3 (expensive, but huge cinematic quality library, free updates, upgrades are discounted) - step sequencer is only for arpeggiator
- Serum 2 (lifetime free updates & upgrades) - has step sequencer
- u-He Hive 2 (upgrades are only a small fee) - has step sequencer
- Arturia Pigments 7 [very cheap, lifetime free updates & upgrades]- has step sequencer
- Kilohearts Phase Plant 2 (lifetime free updates & upgrades) - no step sequencer
- NI Reaktor?? Seems outdated though
If there are any musicians out there in the know, do list the flaws they don't tell you about ^^^^ and your own faves.
