I gave up smoking at New Year and not smoked since.
Nobody else has smoked in my flat, yet I can smell tobacco smoke occasionally.
I live in a block of flats, so maybe it is seeping in from a neighbour either next door or below me.
Maybe it has always been there, but when I smoked myself, I never noticed it.
Anyone else experienced anything similar.

Another perhaps, memory and smell can have very strong bonds of association. Perhaps some memory or another event associated with smoking is triggering the "smell of smoke" from time to time, even though it's not really there at all.
When I gave up, even months after, I would have a strong craving just after dinner -- I could almost smell and taste the smoke.

This vaping though, still taking impurities into the body plus nicotine, and it still cost money. Might just as well quit cold turkey.
