RETURN REQUEST FROM BUYER

I have received a returns request from a buyer.

When contacted the buyer said she wanted a replacement although I offered a full refund.

I have sent out the replacement but the return request is stiil open even though the problem has been resolved.

Ebay does not offer any option to enable me to close the request. The options they give me are detailed below:

Accept the return
The buyer pays for return P&P. We'll provide them all the return details. Wait to receive the item before you refund the buyer.
Give a full refund
You can fully refund the buyer to close this request. The buyer keeps the item.
Offer a partial refund
You have one chance to offer an amount. The buyer keeps the item.
Decline the return
This will automatically close the buyer's request.
Send the buyer a message
You can reply to the buyer.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this will be greatly appreciated

You have to instruct the buyer to close the return case. They can close the case by going into their purchase history to the order in question. The option to close will be located in the drop down menu or Ebay will eventually close it after so many weeks.

It would have been best to do the refund rather than replacement.

It is up to the buyer to close it saying the matter had been sorted out.

They will have been given a date to return by.

If they do nothing it will just time out

Buyer has to close it, they can do this through the case in the Resolution Centre.

If they can't be bothered it will eventually run out of time and close.

Among the options you show is "Decline the return".  Can you still use this?  as there is nothing being returned I assume.
