Postage rates increase instead of decrease?? Am I reading this wrong??

I have read the new rates from Royal Mail and I'm sure it says that 24 & 48 tracked services were coming down slightly, which I use all the time. But I have just come to buy my labels as normal via Ebay and they've gone up. Am I missing something?

Tracked 48 small 2kg parcel online price went up from £3.29  to £3.39.

I think that eBay announcement has errors in it.

I think eBay compared prices from April 2023 for their new RM rates announcement.

However RM changed its prices in July and October last year as well.

So technically the rate changes are correct compared with a year ago but not right compared with Octobers rates.

As a seller, when I select postage as Tracked 48 (up to 2kg), Ebay tells me this will cost £3.29; Ebay asks the buyer to pay £3.29, but charges the seller £3.39.

See https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/226084491108, for example.

I think I've seen this 10p error on other Tracked 48 services too.

Looking at that listing it had been relisted 3 times.

The first time it was listed  was before the RM postage increase.

You should have amended the postage price on the listing as eBay won't change it for you.

Further to what douglaspuglas has said Ebay will also take their 12.8% fee from the postage fee you charge the buyer so you won't get the full £3.39 anyway.
