I think I have paid the postage after the Buyer Paid.

I have just sold an Item for a very good price so I'm not that worried however the Buyer Pad £3.29 on top for Royal Mail Tracked 48.  However I added Signed For and expected the £1.20 to come out of my funds.  But no as I selected postage  it insisted I pay the full postage via PayPal  totalling £4.49 .

I cannot see any reference in the fees to the 3.29 that the buyer paid so will this be sent to me some other way because it may be that we have both paid the postage and Royal mail have got paid twice.

Can anybody advise.  Other than the obvious "Dont add extra postage".

The buyer pays the item amount and the postage cost you charged.

Ebay take their fees out of this and pass the remainder on to you.

You then have to pay for the postage.

The buyer pays you the postage on the listing,  you pay RM what it costs to post it.  They are two entirely separate things.

'Full fat' fees on £45.29 would be £5.79 + £0.30 = £6.09. This is deducted from the money eBay send out to you. 

You then pay the postage out of the £39.20, essentially. You should have £34.71 left after you paid the £4.49.
