Buyer selected postage but then collected in person...

It's annoying that I sold an item with options for either postage or collection in person.

A buyer won the auction, paid straight away however then asked if they could collect in person.

As they only lived a short 10 minute drive away I agreed.  I took video of them collecting,  asked them to reply to message that they have collected the item and marked it as dispatched.  This was the advice that eBay chat gave me.  The buyer has even left positive feedback.

However I can't change the status at all now on the item.  I went back to the eBay chat however there is nothing they can do.  They can see the messages between me and the buyer however either can't or won't change the status to delivered so that I can then get the funds released.

I have to wait until the 17th for funds to be released which would be a month since it was sold.

It's annoying

Go in to your orders from the seller hub - awaiting dispatch and use the drop down arrow to mark it as dispatched.

Complete the transaction this way:

You need to do this now, only on the Seller Hub

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sh/ovw

go to Orders >> Awaiting Postage / Print Postage label, and then click the box on the left of the item.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sh/ord/?filter=status:AWAITING_SHIPMENT

From the Postage tab above, use the drop down menu there, if the option to mark as collected is not there, then select Mark as Paid and Mark as Dispatched.

Dispatched is eBay's wording for a collected item.

Nothing much will happen today or tomorrow, both none working days,  but as you have received feedback wait perhaps until near the end of next week if the money hasn't been transferred to your nominated bank account, ( have you registered for Managed Payments fully and correctly?),  then contact eBay Customer Services direct them to the feedback left , showing the item was collected , and buyer is happy, and they should release the payout sooner.

I do suggest calling very first thing on a weekday at 8 a.m. when the lines first open, there's more chance of Dublin answering.

To Contact Customer Services it's a Live Chat, or you can select to speak and request a Call Back. Click on this link:

On weekdays lines open between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.

On weekends they open between 9 a.m. aand 6 p.m.
