Why am i being charged VAT for purchasing second-hand clothes, even if purchased from outside the UK?

Vat will still be charged for 2nd hand clothes sold outside of the UK

You'll still be charged import VAT if you're importing an item from outside the UK or buying from a seller who is registered outside of the UK.
