Seller below standand

I have just received an email from ebay saying my selling performance is below standard. Excuse me????? I'm not a sales agent for ebay. Absolutely disgusted. Ebay has now become a horrible place to sell. The fees are too high. There are too many rules. Not happy with the rate I'm selling OK please give back the £100s you've taken from me and my husband over the years. I will be closing my account and selling on vinted from now on.

I understand your anger,  but there's nobody from eBay here,  we are just members like yourself.

We have no access to your account ,  we can just  see your feedback profile ,  past sales,  and any items you have for sale now.

I cannot see any negatives and your star ratings is a little low on postage cost,  but nothing to bring to the attention of eBay.  Your postage costs in my humble opinion are very reasonable.

It's a puzzle  and nothing for improvement is standing out.

Personally,  I would be onto eBay Customer Services to ask where the failure is on your account so that you can improve on it,  I know,   said through gritted teeth.

I recommend calling very first thing in the mornings when the lines first open,  more chance of Dublin answering.  Request a call back then you'll hear if it's Dublin.

To Contact Customer Services, I find the quickest way to contact them, either for a Live Chat, or you can select to speak and request a Call Back, to click on this link:

On weekdays lines open between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.

On weekends they open between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

See here about selling the number of items you have listed.

It will also apply to you on Vinted.

If you are canceling orders because the buyer requested to cancel you will not receive a defect. If you are refunding because the buyer has opened a return request you will not receive a defect.

Defects are given due to a seller not resolving a request on their own and eBay has to step in and resolve it for them. If you cancel an order because you can't complete the transaction and ship then you will receive a defect. Defects are also given for late shipping and tracking not uploaded on time and validated.

Check your Seller Dashboard (there's a link on the eBay guidance below) to see where the problems lie, and if you need any help understanding it just pop back here.
