The buyer has given me a different address to send this item to is that ok to do that?

It "may" of course be fine but unless you use the address given by eBay you will not be covered by the MBG

Nope it's not Ok. You'll lose all seller protection from eBay if the item is not delivered, goes amiss.
Message the buyer that under eBay rules you are obliged to only send the item to the name and address that eBay provide on the order details, these being the ones they have registered with eBay.
If they quibble and make excuses, just cancel the order citing Problem with Buyer's Address.
This refunds the buyer, refunds your seller fees and your seller performance is not affected.
If this is , and you feel a genuine query, you can message the buyer that you will cancel the order as above. Relist the item, but they must change their address on their eBay account, or this can also be done at eBay checkout before payment. They can buy and pay again.
