I bought an item off ebay but it was counterfiet. A gucci wallet but its fake. To make matters worse I also stupidly paid the seller some of the money outside of ebay. 

I know I can get the money I paid this person outside of ebay from my bank but the money I paid them via ebay. How do I recoop that please.

I'm afraid you can't recoup anything through eBay. If you paid any part of the payment outside of eBay this disqualifies the transction from eBay's money back guarantee.

We don't know how you funded the part-payment made to eBay, but it's possible that your payent provider could help.

How did you manage to pay part of the money via eBay checkout and some by direct bank account payment?

If you buy or win an item on eBay then full payment must be made via checkout.

Can you explain what happened here please?
