How did they pay?
If cash on collection, ebay won't do anything.
If they paid through ebay checkout, they open case & you issue returns label, refund when returned.
It is unfair that it was sold as spares/repair, but ebay still allow case.

If they paid via checkout,as a private seller your not obliged to accept a return for a change of mind, but must refund if they state not as described, and if they do open a return request for not as described, then you could always appeal the case if it went in the buyers favour as you clearly sold the item as "Spare or repair" and repairing was not part of the sale.

Have they opened a case? If they haven't you can ignore them
What I woud do is write to the buyer saying you are sorry to hear they cannot repair the machine but it was bought as spares or repair and that you did not state that it would be repairable, and that it was never a condition of the sale therefore they are asking for something not offered on the listing. You are sorry but you cannot help them.
Hopefully this will put them off, but if they open a NAD case you will have to treat it dffrerently.
