Appeal reversal

I recently sold a toy, postage was via Evri. The recipient said the item wasn't received. The toy was tracked and photo confirmation was provided by Evri.

i did everything possible and provided everything for the purchaser.

the lady was

adamant it wasn't received and contacted eBay.

i offered to replace the toy at cost but this wasn't satisfactory for her.

eBay saw in my favour and released the funds and closed the case brought.

i learn today the lady appealed and won and I was charged a full refund.

i do not understand why this has happened and what is there to prevent other people doing this to me.

i am a regular seller on eBay of the years and generated quite a bit of money for me and EBay.

they have provided no information re the appeal other than it has been reversed.

i am currently in the process of closing my account and will never deal with these faceless people again.

im putting it out there to see if this is common practice by eBay.

Yes it does happen to others,and it isn't fair.

Ebay however,don't get involved with deliveries etc and treat every dispute/appeal on a case by case basis with the little evidence they have at their disposal!!
