listed items out of stock

I made a buy now purchase for some bras. 24 hours later email received states refunded money as item not in stock, so purchased same items from diferent seller though more expensive, who did have in stock who turned out to be same person as first seller but under diferent name! I sent email asking the obvious to which 24 hours later i received an 'item dispatched' notification followed another 24 hours later by email stating money refunded as item out of stock! have tried contacting ebay about this but there does not seem to be relevent options to chose to proceed. Any ideas please how to report this as this cannot be right?

Ebay makes it very difficult to report this.

 

However, if it's any consolation, the seller has given them selves a defect by refunding you.  If both sales were as you say from the same person using another account, they have earned themselves a defect on each account.

 

If they send you  cancellation requests in order to get their selling fees refunded, you should decline them, and they'll be stuck with the fees on both accounts.  leave appropriate feedback for both.
