Here is a recap of where you stand & what you should have done....(details on this link eBay Money Back Guarantee )

You should have opened a not as described case

The seller should have issued a prepaid tracked return label

If the seller did not issue a label...after 8 days you escalate the case 7 eBay send you one paid by the seller

You post & add the tracking number to the case

As soon as tracking shows delivery attempted you are refunded

If you paid return post eBay cannot force the seller to reimburse you

If you returned by normal post (ie not recorded or special delivery) then you will have no tracking & will be unable to win any case

If you have tracking then open a not as described case in Paypal, add the tracking number & escalate the case....Paypal will refund if tracking shows delivery attempted

If you sent untracked & have proof of postage you can claim for a lost item (up to a max value of £20) from Royal Mail

If you have no tracking & no proof of posting then there is nothing you can do
