Return item, seller delaying to for fill agreement.

Dear Customer service,

I purchased an item (AUTO INFRARED IC H..) for a few weeks ago.

When I received the item, the item had fabrication faults. I opened an "return request" and contacted the seller.  When seller had read my complaint and viewed the images of the item, seller offered me 50% discount of the item.  Since then,  nothing has happened and I got the feeling, that seller is trying to delay everything for a purpose.  Seller has tried to ask me to give him good rates for the item before he pays me back the 50% discount.  All the time the product is waiting to be returned "Return started".

Is it possible that the seller is delay the return, by telling me all kind things, just so that I might loose my rights to return the item or get money back ?

I Am concerned me because I had a seller before who told me that he had sent a new item to me instead of the defect one and it never came. When I contacted Ebay, it was to late to do anything about it. Seller did not answer any emails after that.

Thank you

If you have opened a case for 'item not as described' (faulty) then you can ask eBay to step in after the case has been open for 8 full days.  Do not allow the seller to talk you into delaying escalation and do not accept the offer of a partial refund - you are entitled to all of your original payment back.

You can also report the seller for feedback extortion - sellers cannot make a refund dependent on receiving good feedback.
