Refunds

If an ebay member is experiencing difficulty in obtaining a refund from a seller and the buyer asks ebay to assist and ebay refund the purchase price to the buyer, do ebay inform the seller that this has been done? If ebay do not contact the seller to inform them that a refund has been given to the buyer, is it the buyers responsibility to contact the seller, to inform them that they have received a refund from ebay? If the seller is not aware that ebay have refunded the buyer, the seller may also refund the buyer at  a later date.

 

There doesn't appear to be information on this aspect of buying and selling on the ebay website.

Once you ask eBay to step in then they handle all the communication and yes, the seller will be told that they have lost the case and will be refunding.

 

The refund will be from the original payment so can only be refunded once.
