Postage charges

hello,

i am am a little confused why I am charge a fee of 10% of postage. I have put the actual costs to me down therefore having an additional charge from eBay means I am paying to sell an item.

If an item sells for 0.01p and the postage is £3.00. Then my fees are 0.30p meaning it has just cost me £0.29p to sell the item.

how can this be?

thanks.

The final selling fee on postage has been part and parcel of the fee structure since September 2013 so is not new.

Basically you pay a final selling fee on the total amount the buyer pays so you need to take account of all fees when you list your item for sale, cover the fees in your item price don't increase the p+p cost to cover it.

And can I suggest you stop listing items for sale with a start price of 1p otherwise you will be paying ebay more in fees than you earn from selling your items.

Private sellers get 20 free listings per month to start at any price BIN or auction, always assume you'll only get one bid.
