Item arrived damaged

I bought 8 fancy glass jars from a seller. She sent them via Hermes wrapped in paper then put in a box. Two of the ijars arrived broken. What should I do. The seller states she can't take them back as Hermes won't take glass!! I am nor happy as they were a set. Happy to keep the remaining items but not at the cost I paid.

Almost no delivery services will accept responsibility for breakage of glass - unless you pay a premium price for Royal Mail special delivery.

The seller still has to refund the buyer, and take the loss. This clearly explained in eBay's money back guarantee and is just one of the risks that sellers have to take on eBay.

It's amazing how many people sell - and buy - on eBay, without having any idea of their responsibilities.
