I cannot complete a purchase unfortunately and seller threatening

Does the seller have my address, as he is threatening me

I have apologized for not completeing purchase of car and let him know straight away so he can offer it to next bidder but he is demanding I pay deposit or else

You are at fault for not honouring the sale, but this does not justify the seller threatening you.

You can suggest that the seller sends you a cancellation request, which will ensure that the fee he has had to pay to ebay for the sale is refunded.

If he does this you're getting off lightly, as most sellers would open an unpaid item case against you. This would also get their fee refunded and would place a strike on your account for not paying.

As regards threatening behaviour, you haven't told us exactly what he's threatening. He's entitled to be irate, but if you receive any threat of physical violence you should report this to eBay and the police immediately.
