Discrepancy in Paypal payments due to Global Shipping

Hi I ahve sold an item to a buyer in the USA and we ahve ahd several email discussions as I ahve not received the full amount that I expected because for some reason I ahve been opted into the Global Shipping Programme which I did not agree too.

I have already refunded the amount that was sent through to my paypal account, but this leaves the buyer short of change.

I do not want to carry on dealing with this buyer due to rudeness and trying to bully me into agreeing things. How do you get the Global shipping amount reimbursed when it has nothing to do with you in the first place???

When a buyer buys an item through the GSP the seller receives the item price and the UK postage cost and ebay receives the overseas postage cost.  For the buyer to obtain a refund of the overseas postage cost they need to contact ebay cs direct - the GSP team.

All sellers are being opted in - I was in September last year and opted out immediately - and all sellers are notified by email, 2 emails in fact. The first to tell them they will be enrolled and the 2nd to tell them they have been enrolled.

You can opt out of it.
Go to - My Ebay>Account>Site Preferences>Posting and Packaging Preferences>Offer the Global Shipping Programme
On the right hand side of the screen change yes to no.
