Hi I've won an item today, found out in the bid list that my price was up to my maximum, so I was told I'd been out bid 15 minutes before the finishing time, then the higher bidder withdrew and I'd won it at my top amount, just seems as though my bids been pushed up, is there anyway of finding out or do I just get on with it and accept.

It's very difficult to say, check the bidder see if they have been bidding on a lot of that sellers items maybe if you can.
Shill bidding is not allowed but proving it is almost impossible.
A little bit of detective work may be needed and you can always report the matter to eBay if you feel you have grounds.
