Bidding question

Help! I have just sold a coat on eBay with a starting price of £125. Despite 4 bids being received and a bit of a bidding frenzy at the end, the coat has still sold for the starting price of £125! I don't understand..can anyone explain how this could happen?

I would not call 4 bids a bidding frenzy and if you look you will see it was the same buyer putting the bids in

If you go to the bids in brackets (4) then you will see 

The buyer will have been increasing their bid amount to make sure they won the item

Unless there was another bidder then the bid would not go any higher than £125 as a bidder can not bid against themselves
