I damaged one with the garden rake yesterday...it was warm and I think it had hatched from the lawn....I put it on the groundfeeder and a bird ate it....gawd, they're massive, yukkety yuk....

I'd never seen one until a couple of years ago when we moved here and one of the grubs was in the lawn...like a hoooge white prawn, I nearly wet myself
