auction on impulse and thought afterwards "why did I buy that" ?
I bought an electric meat slicer (just like the one you see in shops but smaller) and afterwards thought why ! There is only the two of us here and I have perfectly good sharp knives for carving joints of meat and slicing up bread but bought the slicer.
Do not get me wrong it is brilliant slicing bread and joints as I have used it but really ! there is only two of us and we do not have joints often so my knives would have been perfectly adequate although I must say my OH is not good at carving up joints or bread. In fact sometimes you would think she used an axe .

I tend to be the other way round. Let things go and then regret it.

A couple of months ago I bought a chair for £2 after the auction had finished and nobody else wanted it. I should have looked at it a bit closer because it was riddled with woodworm and the only good place for it was the dump.

Thanks DC. Unfortunately, Watton Salerooms are nowhere near where I live. I will Google auction houses near where I live and you never know, we may get a good bargain. I'm not saying it will something that's actually useful. Knowing my luck though, probably not.
