Restricted item seller application

Hi Everyone,

I have set up an ebay business account to sell sex toys. I applied to become an authorised seller for this around 2 months ago and have heard nothing. The only advice ive been given since is to just try again. So that is what i have just done today, or tried to. now every time i try to apply it either comes up with a 500 intenal server error or an error with the reCAPTURE.

getting a bit annoying now to be honest so im not sure what else i can do.

after my first application i contacted ebay through live chat and was told that my account was fine and that i could start listing straught away. so i tried and wasnt allowed to list under the category for the item.

if anyone has been through this or is going through at the min any advice is welsome.

Making me, and probably others, think twice about ebay in all honesty.

The business details i just saw on your "about" page may be something to do with it as what i can see is not complete.

I really don't know. If that was the case then surely there'd be at least a response. just wondering where else i could go instead of ebay at the moment.

Ive reached out to the team that deal with the applications for an update on this.

They usually get back to me within 48hrs, Ill let you know as soon as there is an update.

Have a look at ChannelX (its not a porn site except for some internet sellers)

They have a list of a few dozen 3rd party sites. Some won't be suitable for your products.

As for telling you your account was fine and to list - they lied to you. Often enough we hear on the forums of the ebay staff telling people what they want to hear in order to get them off the phone. It worked.

yesterday we had our application granted at 16:45!! 🥳🥳



but then we received an email at 00:11 to say our account has been permanently suspended "because of activity that we believe was putting the eBay community at risk."



we haven't even listed or sold anything yet!!



now we can't log on to the account at all so I've no idea what we're meant to do now 🤷🏻‍♂️

Looks like you need to sell on different sites. Not ebay.

Suspensions tend to be permanent and there's no appeal. They don't want you - use a different site.

Been on live chat and obviously as helpful as a chocolate fire guard.

Tried to close my ebay account altogether and i'm not allowed to do that either!

Think well give up on ebay.

the same  senerio has happended to me , applied  over a month ago . And i have no responce or  update  . 

aplied again  2  weeks  ago still no reply  . Live chat have no clue and cannot  help .  No contact  email to email them directley  to find out if  i can  sell sex toys  .  Iam stuck in limbo and  no one  on ebay seems to be able to help . Its extremley frustrating  . If  you get any  more info or  help please can  you share  . And  visa - versa  to  you  .  please

Did you manage to get this sorted?? I'm the same I've Applied to sell adult content and haven't had an email or anything back? It said 3weeks but there isn't anything you can do IE contact information or anything?.

Hi everyone, I have been dealing with this issue from August too, it has been months! I have called up so many times about it! They have held us back and stopped us from earning money, it's disgusting. No one on ebay is helping, no matter how many calls and how many times they make me re-fill it...nothing, just the same old recycled scripted lines.
