Unable to respond to messages sent buy buyers/sellers

For the last few days I have been able to respond to any messages received from buyers or sellers. Damn infuriating. The only 'advice' eBay gives is to reboot app. Well o have and it makes no difference whatsoever. Any (sensible) suggestions welcome
