eBay global shipping program - USA to UK

Firstly I am aware there are delays with postal services due to Covid - but it’s no solution.

However, I am awaiting delivery of an item purchased just after New Year from the US, it was sent via eBay GSP and since 14 January hasn’t moved - the postal service in the UK are still saying ‘expecting parcel’ so I’m assuming there’s a delay in US shipping.

Furthermore, I have purchased another item, and not particularly happy about eBay’s extortionate GSP charges (but left with no option) paid import charges amounting to $100s - this states ‘dispatched from global shipping to international destination’ but has had no update in two days. I would imagine it would have been scanned in in transit if it were this side of the Atlantic.

I am wondering if this is also an experience anyone else is having, and if there is anything I can do except wait until the items arrive?

This is a strange one for me as at around the same time I purchased another item from the US, it cleared everything and had no delays, and has been with me since 18 January - so I’m not sure what is happening.

once the last estimated delivery date has passed you can open a not received case.

However, in the current world health crisis give it some time past that date before opening a case.
