im going round in circles here....I am currently trying to set up and ebay account for the charity I work for. We've done all the Paypal giving fund stuff and have been approved there. Setting up the ebay account today I encountered a technical problem at the onboarding stage and now have automatically got a business account without being able to upload the documents that they were asking for. Have tried phoning the help line who were completely useless and just did a lot of heavy breathing!! So now I'm stuck with what seems to be a business account and the only option seems to be deleting that account and waiting 14days (so I can use the same email again) and trying again?
I appreciate that but I wasnt able to upload all the documents they were looking for so I've not idea whether we're actually registered as a charity or not - the helpline didnt seem to know either.
We had the same issue with our charity and what you need to do is prepare an item for sale and then when you list it, you are prompted to provide the charity information required to convert your account to a charity status. Hope that helps!
