shil bidding?

I am looking at an autographed auction item and looking at the sellers other auctions it looks like the same bidder is currently winning 4 out of 5 items. Nothing new here but the 4 auctions are off 3 different football clubs signed memorabilia (the 5th auction item is still low on bids & is yet another club but this bidder is not bidding on this but it will be interesting to watch & see if they join in near the end like all the other auctions).

Looking into the sellers history I cannot see this bidder having won something so is this just a random bidder or do you think it is shil bidding as I do not want to get into a bidding war with somebody that is getting somebody else to push up the prices? I know we cannot see the full bidders ebay name but it has the same charchters and feedback score for all the items.

I took screen shots last night, is it worth sending these to ebay?

With the amount of fake autographed items I would be very wary.

Short answer NO.

Ebay have better facilities to detect Shill bidding than members as ebay themselves removed the ability for members to see a lot of the signs of shill bidding.

The best way to ensure that you do not get pushed up in the bidding is to bid your maximum as close to the end as possible. As the object of Shill Bidding is NOT TO win, then it would be too late for any phoney bids to be retracted.

"shil bidding?"

Nothing you have said here points in any way to that.
