I received a message from ebay regarding being in contact with a seller via ebay message advising there sellers account may have been compromised by 3rd party.
Does that mean i have to be concerned about my account & does that mean the product i was purchasing isnt likely to arrive?

It's very unlikely your account has been affected but you could change your password just in case. In your My eBay > Account tab (near top left) > Personal Information > Password > Edit
If the seller's account was hacked you probably won't receive the item and need to open a case with Paypal to get your money back. Log into your Paypal account and click on Contact Us (at bottom of page) > Resolution Centre (at bottom of next page) > Report a Problem.
