Why are ebay going through "catchpa" and then "please verify your details" Every time I sign in

Why are ebay making me go through "I am not a robot" then"catchpa" and then "please verify account details" before I can get to my home page ????

Non of my bank accounts including Paypal put me through this rigmarole - Are ebay really that insecure ? or are they paranoid or just out to annoy people ???? It is getting beyond a joke !!!!

Please reply with a sensible answer and non of this "ebay are protecting customer" **bleep** !

This all seems to have started recently, however my experience is quite different. I never get asked it by Ebay, but I do by Paypal. What makes it more confusing is that if I log into Paypal with Firefox, I have to go through it, but not if I log in with Chrome. All very strange.

You would have to ask Ebay. Help & Contact is at top and foot of any page.
