When looking at my saved searches yesterday I found a search I never saved??

It was nothing sinister, it was for bicycle frames. I asked the other person who uses the computer apart from me and they never saved that search. I removed it but wonder if I should be worried about this. Is somebody trying to access my account? thank you for your help.

If you're absolutely certain that it wasn't just somebody else with access to your computer logging onto your eBay account and playing a prank on you, then change your eBay password and security questions if you have not already done so.  When changing the password, change it to something that a hacker would find virtually impossible to get right, but which you could remember as easily as you can remember your name.  If you make the new password one that involves upper and lower case letters, numbers and at least one symbol then this should make the password harder to crack for anybody who doesn't know it.  Don't write it down anywhere - memorise the new password and make sure that you do not tell anybody else what it is.  That way the only person who ought to be able to gain access to your eBay account is you.

Whilst you're in the process of updating your eBay security questions and password it would also be worth changing your PayPal password as well, as that way if somebody has hacked your account and is trying to log into your PayPal account to pay for something they're trying to buy then once they realise that the password they're trying to use is no longer working they may well give up.  If you do suspect that your account has been hacked, especially if something appears to have been purchased on your account that you've got no knowledge of having paid for, then delete your payment details from your account before reporting the account as having been hacked, then remove the card from your PayPal account.  Report the matter to your card issuer and ask for a replacement card to be issued.  Once the old card has been taken out of circulation it will be of no use whatsoever to a hacker, and when you get the replacement card you can then add that card to your PayPal account and update your eBay account with the new details once you're able to access your account again, although you may be required to provide verification to prove that it really is you accessing the account if there has been a report of suspicious activity having taken place on the account.  However, once you provide eBay with the necessary documentation to prove that it really is you trying to access your account you should be able to access the account again.

Hopefully it will not be necessary to report the account as having been hacked but even so I'd still advise you to change your eBay and PayPal passwords regardless, just to be on the safe side.
