TAKE over paypal by ebay

Hi every-one

A member of ebay has been in touch with me to ask if I have received any messages concerning ebay taking over paypal as they ebay have asked him for details to his bank account so they can swop him from paypal to ebay, I don't see why ebay would ask him as they already have his details, has any-one else been aproched in this way ?

Me myself thinks its a scam but just to put this members mind at rest has any-one else bween asked this ?

Ebay parted company from paypal years ago,why ever would they do this, when they have got Ebay Payments coming up.

Never give information away however genuine it looks.

If the member is a business seller it could be a genuine message about enrolling the member in managed payments. How may have got confused. How did ebay get in touch with him? Was it through ebay messages?
