Suspicious message

I received a message today from a vendor requesting my mobile number for a courier company, however, I have not to my knowledge purchased anything from this person. The request is in connection with an item of which I buy and search frequently, but I cannot find either the vendor or the item he is quoting on your site. The message came on an official-looking eBay message page and from the eBay site. The item in question is #303523493476 and the sellers i.d. is arturoryginal. The email  reference id [#a06-d0qdnj4rrp#] [#7025c9a122d344b1966bbe17b997a998#]

As I have explained, I am not aware of contacting this seller at all. Can you please check this out and let me know your findings.

thank you,

Kevin F. Lynch

"Your knowledge" doesn't count. Either you - or someone pretending to be you - has either bought something from this seller, or they haven't.

If nothing is showing in your recent purchase history, you have nothing to worry about. It's either a mistake, or a scam. Ignore it.

If your account has been hijacked to purchase items without your knowledge, this is another matter altogether. If so, please give more information, and post again in the morning for advice.

We are members like you, we have no way of checking anything of this nature.

I doubt that it is your phone number they are after, if you attempted to reply, you would be asked to sign in and they would then have your password.
