New sign-in activity on your eBay account

Hi everyone, just got a message from the smartest security department on the web.

The message is 'We noticed recent sign-in activity on your account using a new device'.

Whaaaaa! Holy cow! Very bad me thinksssss! Very bad,  but than me thinks, mmm ... I have been using the same PC for several years, on the same desk, running the same Windows and Chromium browser with the same ISP, not even switching off the machine for weeks and now the finest security department says its is new device! Woaahaaa me thinks, serious woaahaa! I am sure a new eBay website layout is coming very soon.

Are you sure that it is from Ebay?

This sort of warning is not sent out by Ebay without reason, so use some elementary precautions and change password.

Lots, including me, have received these messages, it is something to do with users ISP,

I logged on with different browser & received same message.

Unfortunately the message is from Ebay. I can NOT believe but it appears to be a cookie based security feature. You will be getting the message every time after you clean the cookies properly. What an idiot decided to implement this? Well, for those who have been with Ebay for years the stupidity of the management should be not a surprise. I am surprised that I am surprised. But at least the corners are rounded! Whaaaaaa!
