Hi all.

Regarding Xbox series x and s and PlayStation 5 preorders. Is it not against TOS to sell an item you don't have and won't have for more than a set number of days. The release date is in November. So the item in question will not be under the buyer protection act as it will be far too late when it does come out.

if so why isn't there a mod removing listings or banning/warning these sellers listings to do with those keywords until the dates of release

preorders are allowed with certain conditions and eBay buyer protection runs from the latest delivery date and PayPal from date of payment.

There are many millions of listings added daily, so there is no way that Ebay can check every one for rule-breaches. They have to rely on us, the site's users, to let them know, which is why there's a 'Report' button on every listing.
