I've had a message from 'eBay for Business' which may be a scam

I've had a message from 'eBay for Business' which says I need to register my VAT details with HMRC, even though I don't have a business account. The email is full of hyperlinks and the sender email <contact@forbusiness.ebay.com> looks dodgy. Is this a scam?

Forward the email to spoof@ebay.co.uk as an attachment and then delete it.

Suspicious email

1. Don't click any links in the email or open any attachments.
2. Forward the message to us as an attachment at spoof@ebay.co.uk.

We'll let you know that we received the email.

Definately a scam. I had one too. There would be a message in your eBay inbox if it was genuine. 

Typical scammer scare tactics designed to panic people into clicking the links without pausing for thought.

Seems to be yes, have received a few complaints. Any genuine Messages will be Addressed to you in your Ebay Message Box. Do not click on any links.
