They made the refund. However, the time receiving and sending the parcel back was lost. In the description, they marked Apple MacBook Pro as a Configured to Order with exceptional specs. These were the following - Core i9, 512Gb SSD, 2.9GHz, 32Gb RAM And here are the specs of the laptop I received: Processor generation - unidentified from the label, 256Gb SSD, 2.4GHz, 16Gb RAM When I wrote to them requesting a replacement, they reverted back saying a mistake has occurred and offered a refund as an only option. They also offered £100 down the price should I choose to keep the laptop. Note, that the market price of 16Gb of RAM is ~ £350, the price of 256Gb SSD is ~ £150 Are these kinds of schemes permitted?
I hope you returned this correctly having opened a Not As Described Case.
Only by doing it correctly is the seller going to find out that it is expensive not to describe properly. Seller should have if you opened the correct case had to pay the return postage and they will get no refund of the Paypal Fee which would be quite a lot.
Why if you think this was described so badly did you not leave a Negative? Not much good asking how to report to ebay when you do not leave proper feedback .
