Hi, I just found out that the pictures of my items were used in shpock by a seller.
I already reported the seller to the Shpock admin and also comment on the section below of each items asking the person to delete the stolen pictrues.
Will ebay can help as well? i know its in a different platform but is there anyway they can do something about it?
Thanks
No, this is nothing to do with eBay.
Unfortunately when you are able to just 'Save Image As' to your computer then anyone worldwide can save an image taken by you anrd posted on any public site such as EBay.
This also leads to so many misleading photos of 'Stock Items' or 'Stock Photos' being stolen and misused in the same way from Manufacturer websites. These end up being used on here as photographs to represent the item you will be buying and receive by the lazy and at times unscrupulous sellers who in the case of the latter are committing fraud ... Or just being bone idle instead of taking photos of what they actually DO have on offer.
You could always look into saving your photos as WEBP [Done on Airliners.net to prevent pictures from being freely copied and then stolen!] Or look into 'Watermarking' your photos across the middle so the item is still visible only your own choice of signature is too. 'Watermarking' photos has always been a great way of deterring photo-stealing because of the trouble someone would have to take to eliminate the mark completely. May I emphasise again this does not 'hide' any part of your item as it's translucent enough to see through. But noticeable enough for people with half a brain to see that the photo they are looking at is obviously stolen or copied from elsewhere!
But I'm sorry to tell you that without copyright restrictions your complaints to 'Spock' are going to fall on deaf ears in this instance
