Does anybody know how to re-open a case re an undelivered item?

I had a case opened as I never had delivery of an item after a very long period of time. Unfortunately the case was closed due to a lack of seller response, and I now find it impossible to re-open the case. If I type in the order no. nothing is found in the system.

"closed due to a lack of seller response, " That is not why it closed,it closed because of your inaction.

 

If cases closed because of lack of seller response no seller would ever bother to do anything if they could win cases that easily.

You should have Escalated the Case for EBay to Step In after 8 days. If you didn't the Case would time out. Once Closed that's it you cannot Reopen it.

 

You have 180 days to Open a PayPal Case.Escalate after 2 days but before 20.

Instead of following the case instructions, you allowed the case to close. That action told Ebay that everything had been solved to your satisfaction.

 

Closed cases cannot be reopened, and you can't open another.  If you don't properly use the tools that Ebay supplies, they can't help you.

 

If you're still within 180 days of purchase date, open a case in PayPal. And follow the case instructions to the letter this time.

 

If more than 180 days have elapsed, and you paid with a card, see if your card provider can help.
