Would you risk your own life to save your pet?.

Sadly a man died trying to save his dog in the sea a couple of days ago.

One of the rescuers said he had been called to a situation likethis many times, and as in this case the dog made it's on way out, and the owners die.

Would you risk your own life to save your pet?.

Absolutely without hesitation, But you need to be realistic many animals are more capable than you are when it comes to beating the odds, not a lot of point diving into a freezing Sea and getting swept away while your strong swimming Dog grabs a bit of flotsam and paddles back to shore.

Yes...but it all depends  on the time we have for thought.  As you say ''without hesitation'' so that is instantly.

Well... good on you. The truth is if you learn to love your dog you will go in if you see your dogs head disappearing under. It is for most an instinctive reaction.

And if you are at least a reasonable swimmer and did not the regret would hurt for a long, long time. I know my heart would have broken if I  had not.

I would think that a dog would have difficulty grabbing flotsam as hands are usually required. So many humans are more capable when it comes to beating the odds.
